This meme is hosted weekly by MizB @ Should Be Reading. Anyone can participate, even if you don't have a blog (you can post back in MizB's comments).
*Grab your current read.
*Open to a random page.
*Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from that page. You can share more if you want!
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!!! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give away too much information. You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title and autor as well, so that Teaser participants may add to their TBR list/s if they enjoy your teasers!
*Leave a link in the comment section of MizB's blog so that others can check out your teasers! You may leave your teasers here with the book title and author if you do not have a blog. (MizB's Blog)
This week's teasers come from page 41 in Zan-Gah and the Beautiful Country by Allan Richard Shickman (GoodReads, Amazon)
"When Rydl [pronounced like "riddle"] was nine years old, Styg's ["stig"] brutalities sent him running. By sheer accident, Zan-Gah in his wanderings became the father and brother Rydl so much needed. . . . Released from his father's persecutions, his mind became active and his heart glad."
That is it for this week, but be sure to come back next week because there will be more teasing teasers! :D

Here is my teaser from Lipstick in Afghanistan by Roberta Gately (Page 1):
"Do you hear it?" The voice was almost a whisper.
Elsa held her breath, and then she heard it too, a faint rustling of footsteps over twigs and leaves. Out of the corner of her eye, she glimpsed several shadowy figures darting through the trees, and when she turned, she saw a glint of sunlight reflecting off the barrel of an assault rifle.
There was no denying it—the Taliban had found them.
Oh, Jesus! she thought. We'll never escape.
Elsa knew the Taliban's ruthless hatred; the death and destruction they wrought was undeniable.
Seized by a sickening wave of fear, she wanted to cry or throw up, but there was no time. She tried to catch Parween's eye, but her friend was looking back, intent on finding the source of the sound.
"Run!" someone shouted, and suddenly, the chase was on.
Awesome teaser! Thanks for commenting! :D
Happy Holidays!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I love reading what you have to say, whether good or bad. (This is not an open invitation to be rude.)
This blog is an award-free zone. I simply don't have the time to pass them on. Thanks for thinking of me, though :).
