Book Blogger Hop #12 & Follow Friday #6

As always, the Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen over @ Crazy-for-Books.

This week's question:

"If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?"

My answer: For me, "hunt" isn't really the correct word. If I happen to see something by the same author, I immediately take the time to figure out what it's about. I don't necessarily go looking and searching for another of their books, though.

Do you hunt down a wonderful author's other books?

This week's question:

"What is your current playlist right now?"

My answer: Right now my playlist consists of Kelly Clarkson, anything Pop, and a few rock songs. I am also still sing-songing to the music we used Thursday in my dance team's annual recital. All of that, plus just a tad bit of R&B, keeps me going. It's not all the same stuff, but I love listening to some of the songs repetitively :).

What's your current playlist?

Happy weekend, everyone!!

Book Blogger Hop #11 & Follow Friday #5

As always, the Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen over @ Crazy-for-Books.

This week's question:

"Do you ever wish you would have named your blog something different?"

My answer: Not at all! I love my blog name, and I ah-dore the animated butterflies that I have as my rating symbols! :D

Do you wish you'd chosen a different name?

This week's question:

"Share your current fav television show! Tell us a bit about it..."

My answer: My favorite TV show is definitely Pretty Little Liars. I love the series, and, even though they change stuff, the TV show just puts everything into "perfect" vision. If you don't know already, Pretty Little Liars is about four girls whose former BFF is murdered. They are stalked by "A," and they desperately try to figure out their stalker while finding Ali's (their best friend) murderer. Lots of mystery and fun; romance, but nothing too graphic, if you know what I mean.

What's your favorite TV show?

Happy Weekend, everyone!!

Book Blogger Hop #10 & Follow Friday #4

As always, the Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen over @ Crazy-for-Books.

This week's question:

"Tell us about one of your posts from this week and give us a link so we can read it (review or otherwise)!"

My answer: Monday was my first Black History Month post. I proudly support my heritage, and thought it would be really neat to spotlight important African American figures*. I am going to have four parts, one posting every Monday. Really excited about the feature! Even after February is over, I will spotlight an important Black person every week :)

What wonderful post did you have this week?

* If you have any suggestions for people I can feature, please pass them on! Just leave a comment, or email me: massiekurhatesu{at}gmail{dot}com

This week's question:

"What is your favorite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you like the strong silent type or the brute macho man?"

My answer: I'm not really sure, actually. I just sort of fall in love, so to speak, with whatever character is given. :)

What do you prefer in a romance hero?

Happy Friday!!

Book Blogger Hop #9 & Follow Friday #3

As always, the Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen over @ Crazy-for-Books.

This week's question comes from Aliyah @ Des Absurdites:

"What book are you most looking forward to seeing published in 2011? Why are you anticipating that book?"

My answer: Well.... Like Jennifer, there are a LOT for me. :) If I have to choose just one, I would probably say City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. It comes out on April 5th. Of course, after it comes out there will be another book I fantasize over. Anyway, I am looking forward to this novel so much because I just had the chance to finish City of Glass and LOVED it; I am so glad that the next book comes out soon, because I wouldn't be very happy having to wait so long. I would forget, like, everything. LOL

What book are you looking forward to in '11?

This week's question:

"What is/was your favorite subject in school?"

My answer: My favorite subject in school is Algebra; although this year it has slowly been turning into Science, because I'm moreover learning more new things in there. I am learning new material in Algebra, but just not as much as Science, I guess.

What did/do you love in school?

Happy Friday to everyone! (;

Book Blogger Hop #8 & Follow Friday #1

As always, the Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen over @ Crazy-for-Books.

This week's question comes from Barb @ Sugarbeat's Books

"Why do you read the genre that you do? What draws you to it?"

My answer: I'm not really sure why I read so many fantasy novels. I think I am drawn to them because I know they can't really happen, so I don't have to worry about being scared and not being able to sleep like a baby. Also, there is always a great amount of action, adventure, and (YA) romance. :)

This is my first week participating in Follow Friday, so here goes!

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee over @ Parajunkee's Views.

This week's question:

"What makes up your non-human family?"

My answer: My non-human family is made up of, let's see.... A bunch of fish in a tank that seriously needs to be cleaned out this weekend. Yeah, I know, I'm supposed to take care of their living environment, but I've just been so dern (country word -- two points!) busy lately... I am making my dad help me, too.I've always wanted a puppy, but never got one. Nor have I ever had any other type of pet.

Happy Reading! :D
