1) All I Ever Wanted by Kelly Clarkson. I heard this song for the first time years ago, however, I stumbled across it sometime last week and haven't been able to shake it since. I can relate really amazingly to the lyrics, so I guess that's another reason why I love it so much :).

1) Shawty Get Loose by Lil Mama ft Chris Brown & T-Pain. I had heard this song before, but we are using it as one of our songs for one of my hip-hop classes. It's a great song to just get up and dance to! :P
Song Rating: 4 Wings

Yesterday, my mom and I just happened to catch this movie -- finally from the beginning for me! -- and it was awesome. I've seen bits and pieces of it before, but I got the whole start of the story since I saw the first few minutes. It's about a boy, DJ, that, loves to dance. Competitive if you ask me. After dance-battling with another crew for a bucket of money and winning, the other crew jumps them behind the building. One pulls out a gun and DJ's brother is killed.
DJ then moves to live with his aunt and uncle and goes to Truth University. Fraternities and stepping are the biggest things to offer on the campus, and DJ is the one to add some flavor.
Loved this movie! OMG, really good. Want to see Stomp the Yard 2: The Homecoming now. :)
Movie Rating: 4.5 Wings

Finally found the time to search this one on YouTube:
1) Rolling in the Deep by Adele. I had heard this song a bunch of times on my local pop station, but didn't know the name of the song nor artist, so I couldn't look it up. I figured out the artist a couple weeks ago, and I finally remembered to YouTube it while on the computer. I haven't grasped the entire meaning of the song yet, but I fell in love with it because it's something different. It's not your average pop song. Lots of high notes. It's a good song in general, really :).
Song Rating: 4.5 Wings

Movie
It's been probably close to a month since I saw this, for the first time, on TV, but I feel like everyone needs to know about this film if they don't already. Taken (2008) is a perfect example of why teens should listen to their parents.
A teenage girl and her best friend are going to a tour for a band they like in Europe. Well, to begin with, they lied and said that the other girl's cousins would be there and they were only going to Paris. When the main girl's dad tells her that it's dangerous, and they need an adult with them, the girl and the mom feel like he's being too hard on his daughter.
I will just leave the rest of the story line blank, but seriously, if you haven't seen this movie before, it comes on all the time; you need to watch it. There's a super-important lesson to be learned from this film. :)
Movie Rating: 5 Wings

Two new songs; might be my new favorites, but I'm not sure yet :).
1) Me and You by Cassie. I haven't heard this song in a really long time, but I'm loving it! It's about this girl that knows this guy really likes her and wants to be with her; she sorta has a reputation. It's good IMHO.

Teaser Tuesday #19
This meme is hosted weekly by MizB @ Should Be Reading. Anyone can participate, even if you don't have a blog (you can post back in MizB's comments).
*Grab your current read.
*Open to a random page.
*Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from that page. You can share more if you want!
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!!! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give away too much information. You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title and autor as well, so that Teaser participants may add to their TBR list/s if they enjoy your teasers!
*Leave a link in the comment section of MizB's blog so that others can check out your teasers! You may leave your teasers here with the book title and author if you do not have a blog. (MizB's Blog)
This week's teasers are coming from page 80 of Flavors by Emily Sure Harvey (GoodReads, Amazon):
We sang "Amazing Grace." Then we recited the Lord's Prayer and even the Pledge of Allegiance for good measure. We gathered some wildflowers from the meadow as a finishing touch to the earthen mounds . . .
Yeps, the novella is really good so far. The review shall be posted on April 14th, as I'm participating in a Virtual Book Tour :D

Warm-Up Wednesday #4
Warm-Up Wednesday is a "meme," just like Music/ Movie Monday and Thursday Interpretation. In this weekly post, I will be using warm-ups that my R/LA (Reading/ Lanuage Arts) teacher gives us everyday. It probably will not be everyweek, though, because right now I don't have very many of them. All of the war-ups I will be posting on here have to do with making a choice or decision. Our choices/ answers have to be in paragraph form.
This week's question:
Do you think it is ever okay to tell a small lie?
My answer:
I do not think it is ever okay to tell even a small lie. When someone creates the tiniest lie, they have to tell even bigger lies to keep themselves from being found out. Also, lying is a sin. If you are in trouble, it's better to just tell the truth because if you lie and then come back and tell the truth, you could be in even more trouble. In my perspective, even small lies are wrong to tell.

Thursday Interpretation #6
Thursday Interpretations is a "meme," which means that you may participate in this on your blog, but I won't be advertising it nor adding a Linky for links to your post/s.
Anyway, Thursday Interpretation will be a weekly post where I post a motivational quote (and/or a book quote) and tell you my feelings about it. You are more than welcome to post a comment telling how you feel about the quote.
*Remember that these are only my opinions. They are not influenced by anyone else.*
This week's motivational quote:
"The quality of a life of purpose in not measured by the number of tasks accomplished, but with whom they were learning that went on in the process." ~John Fischer
My Thoughts: This wuote is saying that just because you made all these big accomplishments doesnt' mean anything at all if you didn't learn anything! I love this quote, and I definitely agree with it. :)

So yepp... That's my week (most of it) in a blogger recap. Ugh, my head's sort of hurting now. LOL. I will definitely be sure to get on tomorrow and post Book Blogger Hop & Follow Friday! Also, there should be a book review for Killer by Sara Shepard tomorrow.
Happy Reading everyone!! :D

I think I've found my two new favorite songs!; they will be rated seperately.
1) Dog Days Are Over by Florence & the Machine. Genre: Pop. Honestly, I don't even know what this song is about. I just like the way it sounds; hardly ever pay any attention to the lyrics :).
Song Rating: 4 Wings

2) Look At Me Now by Chris Brown ft. Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. Genre: R&B. To be perfectly honest, I don't know what this song is about either. But the beat is so good. The lyrics that I can understand, though, are really good. So advanced. "Chris Breezy" is at the top of his game! **Please note that the video I have linked to below is NOT the clean version.**

My mom, brother, and I watched out DVD copy of Eclipse yesterday. Of course, my mom was the only one that hadn't seen it yet. I loved it all over again! There was action and steamy romance. Everything that I'd expected having just reread the novel. I did a review of the book Eclipse last year; here is the review if you'd like to read it.

Music
This week, I have been caught up on a few songs. There are 4, so I will rate them seperately.
1) Strip Me by Natasha Bedingfield. (Not sexual, parents.) I seriously LOVE this song. Natasha, in this song, is saying that you can do whatever you want to her, but she still has a voice that you can't take from her. It's really moving, and it would be a good song to listen to when & if you feel looked over.
Song Rating: 4.5 Wings
Music Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnhDIGTldho
More About Natasha Bedingfield: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natasha_bedingfield
2) Raise Your Glass by P!nk. Another song that I LOVE; can't get it out of my head! This song always makes me want to move. A great party song. P!nk is basically saying that you should embrace what makes you different, celebrate it. Have a great time. Definitely a good message :).
Song Rating: 4.5 Wings
Music Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjVNlG5cZyQ
More About P!nk: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P!nk
3) Grenade by Bruno Mars. In this video, BM is dragging a piano toward his girlfriend's house, but finds a terrible thing there when he arrives. You gotta watch the vid to see what. But he is singing about how the girl was never really in love with him, even though she said she was. And he would do anything for her, sacrifice anything for her, including his life. I enjoy listening to his dedication to her; good quality in a guy, lol.
Song Rating: 4 Wings
Music Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR6iYWJxHqs
More About Bruno Mars: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruno_Mars
4) Fall For Your Type by Jamie Foxx ft. Drake. This video was a little confusing at first, but after about a minute, Jamie was falling out a window. There were things falling and breaking, and Jamie's place was trashed. In the song lyrics, J is basically telling the girl he's with that the problems they are going through have been recurring for him some way or another. He always falls for the same type of woman. *Note: The video does have a few half-naked-woman scenes, so parents should watch before younger kids.*

2) Raise Your Glass by P!nk. Another song that I LOVE; can't get it out of my head! This song always makes me want to move. A great party song. P!nk is basically saying that you should embrace what makes you different, celebrate it. Have a great time. Definitely a good message :).
Song Rating: 4.5 Wings

3) Grenade by Bruno Mars. In this video, BM is dragging a piano toward his girlfriend's house, but finds a terrible thing there when he arrives. You gotta watch the vid to see what. But he is singing about how the girl was never really in love with him, even though she said she was. And he would do anything for her, sacrifice anything for her, including his life. I enjoy listening to his dedication to her; good quality in a guy, lol.
Song Rating: 4 Wings

4) Fall For Your Type by Jamie Foxx ft. Drake. This video was a little confusing at first, but after about a minute, Jamie was falling out a window. There were things falling and breaking, and Jamie's place was trashed. In the song lyrics, J is basically telling the girl he's with that the problems they are going through have been recurring for him some way or another. He always falls for the same type of woman. *Note: The video does have a few half-naked-woman scenes, so parents should watch before younger kids.*
Song Rating: 4 Wings

Movie
My family and I recently watched our DVD copy of The Sorcerer's Apprentice. I really loved it! It was more comedy than anything. My brother, of course, just added to the comedy even more. It was one of those, 'You had to be there' moments, LOL. I would definitely say that you need to watch this, especially if you are stressed out a lot. :)
Anyways, I am giving this movie a solid 5 Wings!

I will probably have lots of movie updates next week, hopefully! Happy New Year to everyone! I'm sure this year is going to be, in the words of Kung Fu Panda, "the Year of Awesomeness"! :D

These past two weeks, I have been obsessed over the song "Show Me A Good Time" by Drake. To listen to it, click here. Just to forewarn you, though, there is some profanity in it. So listen at your own will. Anyway, this song is one that someone actually sent me on my phone, and I looked it up and immediately loved it :). It's now my favorite song!
Song Rating: 5.0

Movies

The last movies I have watched were Final Destination and Final Destination 2. Anyone who knows me will be able to tell you that I LOVE horrow movies. It was no different with these two. I have to say that the first one was definitely better, but the second one was a wonderful sequel. I would give Final Destination 4 Wings, and Final Destination 2 would receive 4-1/2 Wings. This averages to a 4.25 Wing rating :). By the way, the photos above are just movie posters; they are not the actual DVD covers.
Check back next week for the post about Final Destination 3 and The Final Destination!
Happy Reading,

This week, I am currently stuck all over Nicki Minaj's debut album, Pink Friday. Yes, the original versions of these songs have all sorts of words in them, but my mom got me the Edited Version, so no worries :).
Anyways, the Young Money diva has definitely made an awesome debut. In just about every song you hear on the radio nowadays (if you listen to R&B), there's a Nicki verse in it. Nicki can definitely sing, I have to give her that. Her mission?: To show younger girls that they can reach their dreams no matter how many times they are told they can't or won't.
CD Rating: 4-1/2 wings!
Learn more about Ms. Minaj here!
List of tracks on Pink Friday:
1. I'm The Best
2. Roman's Revenge ft Eminem
3. Did It On 'Em
4. Right Thru Me
5. Fly ft Rihanna
6. Save Me
7. Moment 4 Life ft Drake
8. Check It Out ft will.i.am
9. Blazin' ft Kanye West
10. Here I Am
11. Dear Old Nicki
12. Your Love
13. Last Chance ft Natasha Bedingfield

The latest movies I have watched are The Ring and The Ring Two. The best three words I cam use to describe this duo is "OH MY GAWSH!!!!" I absolutely loved them. They honestly didn't get really good until the end, but I still enjoyed the,. (Thank you to one of my 8th grade buddies for recommending them to me!)
The movies really were ah-mazing. I give The Ring a rating of 4 Wings, and The Ring Two I will rate 5 Wings. For the duo rating, it averages to a 4-1/2 :).
