Review: I've had this DVD for quite a few months. I finally had the chance to watch it; I have to admit that even thuogh I haven't read Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, off of which it's based, I definitely enjoyed the movie. I might even rewatch it sometime soon :D.

The main character, Dorian Gray, at first meeting him, struck me as a very thoughtful man, someone who thought his way through things. Harry, his best friend and somewhat of what I'd call a mentor, definitely changes young Dorian's way of thinking about the world. That, and Dorian becomes addicted to have sex with every pretty woman his eyes land on. Harry unquestionably brought out that side of Mr. Gray. You can see the influence that Harry made on him.

The portrait painted of Dorian by one of Harry's friends was quite the talk while it was being displayed. But as Dorian's general attitude changed, the portrait morphed into a scary zombie-looking Dorian. It was pretty intense, but it still had an appealing air to it that made me want to keep watching. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how that picture was the reason that Dorian became immortal. Sadly, I didn't start paying complete attention to the TV screen until about a quarter through the film. Will definitely have to rewatch soon LOL. :)

Overall, I really liked this movie, and I'm looking forward to reading The Picture of Dorian Gray sometime possibly before the year is out.

Review: This movie was absolutely terrible. The plot in general made enough sense, but there were someparts where I was just fed up with the movie. Definitely won't be watching this one again. D:

The main character, Babydoll, is put into a "mental hospital" where the girls there dance to attract sexual customers. Babydoll and four other girls all decide that they're tired of it and want to escape. Long story short, only one girl got to leave in the end.

The number one thing that ticked me off about this movie is that you never get to see Babydoll's dance. I mean, you don't get to see anyone else's either, but everyone at the "hospital" makes a big deal about Babydoll's dance. That it's the best, and it holds all the males' attention. But we onlookers never to get to see it.

Every time Babydoll starts dancing, she closes and eyes and goes into some kind of dream world where her and the other four girls fight against fictional creatures in a kind of war. It was really mind-boggling as to how she could dance to something like that. Like I said, you never get to see her dance.

To be perfectly honest, this movie wasn't what it was made out to be. The commercials showed an action-oacked film with fighting around every corner. The only action in the entire movie was when Babydoll was dancing. The dance we never got to see :(.

This movie was most definiely a true disappointment. If you didn't see it in theaters and were thinking about getting the DVD, don't. It is totally a waste of your time.

Review: I don't know why, but I'm really into super hero movies lately. I still don't like Superman, Batman, or Spidey, but really, I can only handle so much. Still didn't get to see Thor, but my dad wanted to see Green Lantern so to the theater we rode.

I have to say that I am anxious for the sequel to be released! Our main character, Hal Jordan, loves to fly -- planes; he has big shoes to fill, as his dad was a well-known pilot before his tragic death. Hal screws up on a pretty big day, and then the ring finds him.

"What ring?" you ask? The ringthat makes him a Green Lantern, of course. I won't take the time to explain evry detail, so long story short: A well-respected Lantern dies, and the first-ever human Lantern has some big shoes to fill -- yet again.

I loved how everything happened; Hal's best friend, whose name escapes me, was pretty funny at the moments he was present. And, of course, Hal gets the pretty girl. But really, we all expected that, right?

The only thing I didn't like about the movie is that while green is good, yellow -- yes, my favoritest colour ever -- is bad. You can probably see how disappointed I was. But the wonderful movie made up for the colour thing :).

Definitely a spectacular movie! We managed to see it on the day it released, so you've still got time to see it!

Review: I loved the book version of this film, and admit that I held high expectations of the movie. I'm proud to say that I wasn't disappointed!

I surprisingly remembered everything from the book. I think that it was great to see actual people acting everything. The movie had great action, and even though I'd read Pittacus Lore's  hard work first, I still sometimes was lost at what was going to happen next!

Number Six in the movie was much more than I expected her to be. She was, to put it simply (please excuse my language here), a badass. I just loved the scene where . . . well, the part where you first see her in the movie. She brought a sudden flare to the great battle at the end of the movie.

Overall, this movie was absolutely, spectacularl marvelous. I am anxious for The Power of Six (the book) to be released in September. Hopefully they will maje a movie of it as well. I'm thinking they will, though, because I Am Number Four (film) left us with a sort-of giant cliffhanger :)
